Sanctuary Studio Cabin

The minimalist design of the Sanctuary Studio Cabin has everything needed to feel luxurious while treading lightly on the earth.

 

The sleek eco-cabin design includes 60 square meters of floor space with an additional 30 square meters of deck (which can be reduced to suit lot restrictions). The One Bedroom Cabin floor layout is able to be modified but our exitsing design features a spacious bedroom with floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes. The bedroom opens to an open plan living/dining area that flows to a generous sized kitchen. The bathroom has ample space for a bath or spa, and a separate composting toilet (also available as a flushing toilet). A curved skillion split-level corrugated iron roof with adjustable skylights allows natural winter light into living spaces.

• Cross flow ventilation and large eaves create appropriate shading

  from strong summer sun.

• Northern facing skylights allow winter warmth to filtrate.

• Extensive use of glazing allows natural light, and winter warmth. In

  summer these windows are shaded by large eaves (option of additional solar block 2 glazing). Use of curtaining will increase thermal qualities.

• Floor plan: 60 m2, adaptable due to semi-modular design and able to be configured to suit your living requirements. This design has the ability to be easily extended at later date.

• Use of energy efficient sustainable building products when available (specifics to be discussed with client).

• Fully insulated roof and walls.

• Stacker-slider doors and aluminum frame slider windows with option

  of solar block 2 glazing.

• All services (plumbing, electrical, gas) are sub-floor for ease of access

  and to reduce exposure potential EMFs.
